Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still life of roses in a blue vase and strawberries by Mary Elizabeth Duffield was sold in the British And Continental Watercolours And Drawings auction at Christies in London in October 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 411.25 (€ 664.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mary Elizabeth Duffield - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still life with daffodils, cyclamen and anemones in ceramic vases on a ledge, which sold at auction in March 2001 for GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,275.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still life of roses in a blue vase and strawberries von Mary Elizabeth Duffield wurde im Oktober 2001 in der Auktion British And Continental Watercolours And Drawings bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 411,25 (€ 664,64) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
