Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Korsfararen" by Martin Wickström was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 12,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 11,000.00 (€ 931.59). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Wickström achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Moondance" in May 2014 with an auction result of SEK 390,000.00 (€ 42,745.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Korsfararen" von Martin Wickström im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 12.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 11.000,00 (€ 931,59) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martin Wickström erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Moondance" im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 390.000,00 (€ 42.745,60).
