Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work Eve by Marthe Donas. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,375.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marthe Donas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme se coiffant in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 104,570.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eve von Marthe Donas zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.375,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marthe Donas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme se coiffant im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 104.570,98).
