Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Hippo Dining Table by Mark Stoddart. The price achieved of GBP 6,048.00 (€ 6,668.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mark Stoddart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hippo & Baby Coffee Table 2001, which sold at auction in September 2019 for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,399.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hippo Dining Table von Mark Stoddart zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.048,00 (€ 6.668,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mark Stoddart mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hippo & Baby Coffee Table 2001 beobachtet, die im September 2019 für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.399,53) versteigert wurde.
