Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Bonhams in London held the auction Photographs Now The Collector's Edition, which included the work Selected Images from 'Westward the Course of Empire' by Mark Ruwedel. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,040.00 (€ 6,388.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mark Ruwedel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work works from Westward the Course of Empire, 1997-2005, which sold at auction in October 2015 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,904.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Photographs Now The Collector's Edition durch, in der auch die Arbeit Selected Images from 'Westward the Course of Empire' von Mark Ruwedel zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 7.040,00 (€ 6.388,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Mark Ruwedel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit works from Westward the Course of Empire, 1997-2005 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.904,91) versteigert wurde.
