Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Mark Beard achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in November 2021. In the American Art auction, the work Untitled (Two Standing Men) sold for USD 6,375.00 (€ 5,648.09) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mark Beard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fumeurs sur les roches, which sold at auction in June this year for EUR 11,520.00.

In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Two Standing Men) für USD 6.375,00 (€ 5.648,09) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mark Beard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fumeurs sur les roches beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für EUR 11.520,00 versteigert wurde.
