Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Seated Male Figure, One Arm Up) by Mark Beard was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,200.00 (€ 2,952.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mark Beard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fumeurs sur les roches, which sold at auction in June this year for EUR 11,520.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Seated Male Figure, One Arm Up) von Mark Beard kam im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.200,00 (€ 2.952,30) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Mark Beard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fumeurs sur les roches beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für EUR 11.520,00 versteigert wurde.
