Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work La table verte by Marius Borgeaud for CHF 22,500.00 (€ 20,896.70). This price was achieved in the auction Swiss Art Online Sale at Christies in Zurich (Online) and was even below the estimate range of CHF 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Marius Borgeaud have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La bonne et la soupière, 1921 in May 2015 with an auction result of CHF 102,000.00 (€ 98,650.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit La table verte von Marius Borgeaud für CHF 22.500,00 (€ 20.896,70) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Swiss Art Online Sale bei Christies in Zürich (Online) erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von CHF 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marius Borgeaud auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La bonne et la soupière, 1921 im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 102.000,00 (€ 98.650,72).
