This artwork by Mario Schifano achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in December this year. In the 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale auction, the work Idrocoltura sold for EUR 56,700.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mario Schifano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Stanza Dei Disegni in October last year with an auction result of EUR 1,302,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mario Schifano erzielte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale wurde die Arbeit Idrocoltura für EUR 56.700,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mario Schifano erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Stanza Dei Disegni im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.302.000,00.
