Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings Part II, which included the work Tulips, carnations, roses, anemones, gladioli, lilac, morning glory and other flowers in a sculpted urn, on a tabletop by Mario Nuzzi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 102,000.00 (€ 74,670.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mario Nuzzi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tulips, roses, daffodils, a carnation, a poppy, anemone, jasmine, morning glory and other flowers in a sculpted urn, on a stone ledge, which sold at auction in April 2007 for USD 336,000.00 (€ 245,973.65).
