Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tancred And Erminia, Surrounded By A Garland Of Flowers by Mario Nuzzi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,612.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mario Nuzzi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tulips, roses, daffodils, a carnation, a poppy, anemone, jasmine, morning glory and other flowers in a sculpted urn, on a stone ledge in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 336,000.00 (€ 245,973.65).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.612,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mario Nuzzi erzielen.
