Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Still life with tulips, carnations, an iris and other flowers in an urn sculpted with a decorative crab by Mario Nuzzi was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,820.89). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mario Nuzzi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tulips, roses, daffodils, a carnation, a poppy, anemone, jasmine, morning glory and other flowers in a sculpted urn, on a stone ledge in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 336,000.00 (€ 245,973.65).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tulips, roses, daffodils, a carnation, a poppy, anemone, jasmine, morning glory and other flowers in a sculpted urn, on a stone ledge im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 336.000,00 (€ 245.973,65).
