A top price for Mario Nuzzi - as previously expected
In April 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings Including Property From the Collection of Jacques Goudstikker, which included the work Tulips, roses, daffodils, a carnation, a poppy, anemone, jasmine, morning glory and other flowers in a sculpted urn, on a stone ledge by Mario Nuzzi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 336,000.00 (€ 245,973.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Tulips, roses, daffodils, a carnation, a poppy, anemone, jasmine, morning glory and other flowers in a sculpted urn, on a stone ledge is the most expensive artwork by Mario Nuzzi that we have observed at auctions so far.
