Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Mario Merz could be acquired at Christies in Milan in November 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Thinking Italian Milan auction, the work Senza titolo changed hands for EUR 18,750.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mario Merz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Piccolo caimano in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,346,297.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mario Merz konnte im November 2020 bei Christies in Mailand für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Thinking Italian Milan wechselte die Arbeit Senza titolo für EUR 18.750,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mario Merz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Piccolo caimano im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 962.500,00 (€ 1.346.297,09).
