Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2002 Christies in Rome held the auction ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA, which included the work Natura morta con bottiglie by Mario Mafai. The price achieved of EUR 33,480.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mario Mafai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Natura morta con manichino, maschera e abito rosso (recto); donna in abito da sera (verso) in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 96,500.00 (€ 138,580.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2002 führte Christies in Rom die Auktion ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA durch, in der auch die Arbeit Natura morta con bottiglie von Mario Mafai zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 33.480,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mario Mafai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Natura morta con manichino, maschera e abito rosso (recto); donna in abito da sera (verso) im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.500,00 (€ 138.580,35).
