Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Ice Gold by Marilyn Minter was auctioned at Phillips in London in April last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 15,120.00 (€ 18,030.07). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marilyn Minter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wave in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 269,000.00 (€ 250,442.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Ice Gold von Marilyn Minter kam im April letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 15.120,00 (€ 18.030,07) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marilyn Minter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wave im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 269.000,00 (€ 250.442,23).
