Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2005 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART, which included the work Open tap by Marijke van Warmerdam. The price achieved of EUR 3,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marijke van Warmerdam - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Don't Walk, Walk, which sold at auction in October 2011 for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,403.14).
