Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Young Girl by Maria Marevna was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,250.00 (€ 5,235.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maria Marevna achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reclining Nude in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 94,500.00 (€ 110,951.89).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Young Girl von Maria Marevna kam im November 2012 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.250,00 (€ 5.235,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maria Marevna erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reclining Nude im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 94.500,00 (€ 110.951,89).
