In September 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures, which included the work City view of Elburg, the Sint-Nicolaas church in the background by Marie Henri MacKenzie. The result of EUR 2,500.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marie Henri MacKenzie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An evening on the Leidseplein, Amsterdam in June 2002 with an auction result of EUR 26,290.00.

Im September 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit City view of Elburg, the Sint-Nicolaas church in the background von Marie Henri MacKenzie zur Versteigerung kam.
