In September 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures, which included the work Children playing on the beach by Marie Henri MacKenzie. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,250.00 31% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Marie Henri MacKenzie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An evening on the Leidseplein, Amsterdam in June 2002 with an auction result of EUR 26,290.00.

Im September 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Children playing on the beach von Marie Henri MacKenzie zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.250,00 und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marie Henri MacKenzie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An evening on the Leidseplein, Amsterdam im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 26.290,00.
