This artwork by Mariano Barbasán Lagueruela achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2010. In the 19th Century European Paintings Including Spanish Painting, The Orientalist Sale, and German, Austrian, Scandinavian and Symbolist Works auction, the work Spanish mercado, Anticoli Corrado (The Marketplace, Anticoli Corrado) sold for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 28,381.21) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mariano Barbasán Lagueruela - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Cata (Wine Tasting), which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 50,900.00 (€ 71,273.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mariano Barbasán Lagueruela erzielte im November 2010 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings Including Spanish Painting, The Orientalist Sale, and German, Austrian, Scandinavian and Symbolist Works wurde die Arbeit Spanish mercado, Anticoli Corrado (The Marketplace, Anticoli Corrado) für GBP 23.750,00 (€ 28.381,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mariano Barbasán Lagueruela mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Cata (Wine Tasting) beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 50.900,00 (€ 71.273,17) versteigert wurde.
