The work Ameisenhaufen by Marianne von Werefkin was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2017. It achieved a price of GBP 233,000.00 (€ 273,053.00), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 55%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Marianne von Werefkin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Styx sold at auction in June 2008 with the realized price of GBP 337,250.00 (€ 426,295.31).

Die Arbeit Ameisenhaufen von Marianne von Werefkin kam im März 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 233.000,00 (€ 273.053,00) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 55%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Marianne von Werefkin; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Styx im Juni 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 337.250,00 (€ 426.295,31).
