This artwork by Maria Szantho achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2006. In the British, Continental and Russian Pictures auction, the work Seated Female Nude sold for GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,851.26) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Admittedly, works by Maria Szantho have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hungarian Dreaming Of Snow White And The Seven Dwarves in March 2009 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,175.25).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Maria Szantho erzielte im November 2006 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit Seated Female Nude für GBP 1.920,00 (€ 2.851,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maria Szantho auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hungarian Dreaming Of Snow White And The Seven Dwarves im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.175,25).
