Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Circo by María Izquierdo was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2007. Here, the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 40,000.00 (€ 27,233.12). Admittedly, works by María Izquierdo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calabazas con pan de muerto in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 138,000.00 (€ 163,217.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Circo von María Izquierdo kam im November 2007 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 40.000,00 (€ 27.233,12) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von María Izquierdo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calabazas con pan de muerto im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.000,00 (€ 163.217,03).
