The work Vaso Verde by María Izquierdo was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2010. It achieved a price of USD 104,500.00 (€ 80,162.63), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 31%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by María Izquierdo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calabazas con pan de muerto, which sold at auction in May 2001 for USD 138,000.00 (€ 163,217.03).

Die Arbeit Vaso Verde von María Izquierdo kam im November 2010 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 104.500,00 (€ 80.162,63) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 31%. Für andere Arbeiten von María Izquierdo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calabazas con pan de muerto beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für USD 138.000,00 (€ 163.217,03) versteigert wurde.
