Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Maria Friberg could be acquired at Bukowski in Stockholm in October this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art & Design auction, the work 'Almost there #2', 2000 changed hands for SEK 65,000.00 (€ 5,504.83) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maria Friberg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Still lives #3", 2004 in May 2012 with an auction result of SEK 330,000.00 (€ 34,857.65).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maria Friberg konnte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design wechselte die Arbeit 'Almost there #2', 2000 für SEK 65.000,00 (€ 5.504,83) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 80.000,00 – 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maria Friberg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Still lives #3", 2004 im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 330.000,00 (€ 34.857,65).
