In November last year Bonhams in Paris held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Le nageur by Maria Filopoulou. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 12,750.00 59% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maria Filopoulou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nageurs, which sold at auction in November this year for EUR 32,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 59 % übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le nageur von Maria Filopoulou zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 12.750,00 und damit 59% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Maria Filopoulou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nageurs beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für EUR 32.000,00 versteigert wurde.
