This artwork by Maria Filopoulou achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2008. In the The Greek Sale auction, the work Greek Swimmers sold for GBP 19,700.00 (€ 25,114.72) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Maria Filopoulou; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Nageurs sold at auction in November this year with the realized price of EUR 32,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Maria Filopoulou erzielte im April 2008 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Greek Sale wurde die Arbeit Greek Swimmers für GBP 19.700,00 (€ 25.114,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00.
