This artwork by Margi Geerlinks achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January 2007. In the The House Sale auction, the work Untitled (Mother Knitting Child) sold for USD 2,880.00 (€ 2,215.73) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Margi Geerlinks; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Pinocchio sold at auction in January 2007 with the realized price of USD 3,840.00 (€ 2,954.30).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Margi Geerlinks erzielte im Januar 2007 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The House Sale wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Mother Knitting Child) für USD 2.880,00 (€ 2.215,73) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Margi Geerlinks; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Pinocchio im Januar 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 3.840,00 (€ 2.954,30).
