Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work More Than Perfect I by Margi Geerlinks was auctioned at Phillips in London in November 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 438.00 (€ 523.41). Admittedly, works by Margi Geerlinks have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pinocchio in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 3,840.00 (€ 2,954.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit More Than Perfect I von Margi Geerlinks im November 2010 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 438,00 (€ 523,41) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Margi Geerlinks auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pinocchio im Januar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.840,00 (€ 2.954,30).
