Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work Profile Boxes (a&b) by Marco Maggi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,103.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marco Maggi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2016 for USD 31,250.00 (€ 29,542.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch die Arbeit Profile Boxes (a&b) von Marco Maggi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.103,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Marco Maggi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2016 für USD 31.250,00 (€ 29.542,45) versteigert wurde.
