The work Nude with Upraised Arm by March Avery was worth USD 21,760.00 (€ 20,424.25) to a buyer in May this year. This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Bonhams in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by March Avery; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Karla Drawing sold at auction in August last year with the realized price of USD 40,695.00 (€ 40,432.19).
