Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Terrasse by Marcel Jefferys was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in July 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,237.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Marcel Jefferys have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2009 the work Kermesse: a day at the fair was auctioned for EUR 9,375.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Terrasse von Marcel Jefferys kam im Juli 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.200,00 (€ 6.237,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Marcel Jefferys konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2009 die Arbeit Kermesse: a day at the fair für EUR 9.375,00 versteigert.
