Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Les Loges Le Théâtremarcel Jefferys ; The Box , The Theater ; One Monogrammed Lower Left, The Other One Monogrammed Lower Right ; Watercolour And Charcoal by Marcel Jefferys for EUR 1,000.00. This price was achieved in the auction Tableaux Anciens et du XIXe siècle at Sothebys in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Marcel Jefferys have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kermesse: a day at the fair in November 2009 with an auction result of EUR 9,375.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Les Loges Le Théâtremarcel Jefferys ; The Box , The Theater ; One Monogrammed Lower Left, The Other One Monogrammed Lower Right ; Watercolour And Charcoal von Marcel Jefferys für EUR 1.000,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Tableaux Anciens et du XIXe siècle bei Sothebys in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marcel Jefferys auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kermesse: a day at the fair im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.375,00.
