Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June this year Bonhams held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work La Souris Écrit Rat (À Compte D'Auteur) by Marcel Broodthaers. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,304.00 (€ 2,681.46), 15% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Broodthaers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Surface de moules (avec sac) (Surface of mussels (with bag)) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 536,466.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Souris Écrit Rat (À Compte D'Auteur) von Marcel Broodthaers zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.304,00 (€ 2.681,46) und damit 15% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Broodthaers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Surface de moules (avec sac) (Surface of mussels (with bag)) im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 536.466,65).
