Auction result well in line with expectations
In January this year Christies in New York held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Prints, which included the work Trajan crowned by Victory by Marcantonio Raimondi. It changed hands for a price of USD 5,670.00 (€ 5,221.96) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcantonio Raimondi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A standing nude holding a veil in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 70,500.00 (€ 75,741.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Trajan crowned by Victory von Marcantonio Raimondi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 5.670,00 (€ 5.221,96) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcantonio Raimondi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A standing nude holding a veil im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 70.500,00 (€ 75.741,30).
