Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work A Group of five Engravings by Marcantonio Raimondi for GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,253.35). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Works on Paper: Prints and Drawings for under £5,000 at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcantonio Raimondi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A standing nude holding a veil in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 70,500.00 (€ 75,741.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Group of five Engravings von Marcantonio Raimondi für GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.253,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Works on Paper: Prints and Drawings for under £5,000 bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcantonio Raimondi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A standing nude holding a veil im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 70.500,00 (€ 75.741,30).
