Auction result well in line with expectations
The work “Felt” chair by Marc Newson was sold in the The Betty Lee and Aaron Stern Collection auction at Phillips in New York in December 2013. It changed hands for a price of USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,082.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Newson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Lockheed Lounge in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 1,568,750.00 (€ 1,788,682.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit “Felt” chair von Marc Newson wurde im Dezember 2013 in der Auktion The Betty Lee and Aaron Stern Collection bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.082,30) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Newson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Lockheed Lounge im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.568.750,00 (€ 1.788.682,07).
