Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Composition by Marc Janson was auctioned at Christies in Paris in July 2005, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 480.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marc Janson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Au Bruit Du Soleil/A Ces Palais Absents, Circa 1980, which sold at auction in March 2012 for EUR 1,802.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Composition von Marc Janson im Juli 2005 bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 480,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Marc Janson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Au Bruit Du Soleil/A Ces Palais Absents, Circa 1980 beobachtet, die im März 2012 für EUR 1.802,00 versteigert wurde.
