Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Composition by Marc Janson was auctioned at Artcurial in March 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 700.00 – 900.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 129.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Janson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Au Bruit Du Soleil/A Ces Palais Absents, Circa 1980 in March 2012 with an auction result of EUR 1,802.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Composition von Marc Janson im März 2013 bei Artcurial versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 129,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Janson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Au Bruit Du Soleil/A Ces Palais Absents, Circa 1980 im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.802,00.
