Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Le mur des lamentations by Marc Chagall was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in May 2007. The »bidding war« ended at USD 312,000.00 (€ 231,918.53), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Chagall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Amoureux in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 28,453,000.00 (€ 23,914,103.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Le mur des lamentations von Marc Chagall wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 312.000,00 (€ 231.918,53) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Chagall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Amoureux im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.453.000,00 (€ 23.914.103,21).
