Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work La mariée by Marc Chagall was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2003. It achieved a price of USD 477,900.00 (€ 398,416.01), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Chagall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Amoureux in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 28,453,000.00 (€ 23,914,103.21).

Die Arbeit La mariée von Marc Chagall kam im November 2003 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 477.900,00 (€ 398.416,01) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Chagall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Amoureux im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.453.000,00 (€ 23.914.103,21).
