Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Still Life With Duck by Marc-Aurèle de Foy Suzor-Côté. It changed hands for a price of CAD 14,400.00 (€ 10,494.14) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of CAD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Marc-Aurèle de Foy Suzor-Côté have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Halage Du Bois in December 2009 with an auction result of CAD 106,000.00 (€ 70,698.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Duck von Marc-Aurèle de Foy Suzor-Côté zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von CAD 14.400,00 (€ 10.494,14) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marc-Aurèle de Foy Suzor-Côté auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Halage Du Bois im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 106.000,00 (€ 70.698,72).
