Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Nr. Arthabaska by Marc-Aurèle de Foy Suzor-Côté was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2011. The »bidding war« ended at CAD 18,000.00 (€ 13,117.67), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Marc-Aurèle de Foy Suzor-Côté have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Halage Du Bois in December 2009 with an auction result of CAD 106,000.00 (€ 70,698.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Nr. Arthabaska von Marc-Aurèle de Foy Suzor-Côté wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CAD 18.000,00 (€ 13.117,67) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marc-Aurèle de Foy Suzor-Côté auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Halage Du Bois im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 106.000,00 (€ 70.698,72).
