Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale, which included the work Mona by Mao Yan. The price achieved of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,325.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mao Yan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standing Youth in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 9,440,000.00 (€ 1,063,557.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mona von Mao Yan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 42.325,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mao Yan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Standing Youth im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.440.000,00 (€ 1.063.557,38).
