Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Black Portrait by Mao Yan. The price achieved of HKD 5,310,000.00 (€ 624,876.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 3,500,000.00 – 6,500,000.00. Other works by Mao Yan have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2016 the work Standing Youth was auctioned for HKD 9,440,000.00 (€ 1,063,557.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Black Portrait von Mao Yan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 5.310.000,00 (€ 624.876,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 3.500.000,00 – 6.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Mao Yan konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2016 die Arbeit Standing Youth für HKD 9.440.000,00 (€ 1.063.557,38) versteigert.
