Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Manuel Ocampo could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,012.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Manuel Ocampo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Los Comicos Ambulantes in December last year with an auction result of USD 32,760.00 (€ 30,622.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Manuel Ocampo konnte im Januar 2011 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.012,76) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manuel Ocampo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Los Comicos Ambulantes im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.760,00 (€ 30.622,55).
