Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Absolute Other of the In-Place Paradigm of Practice by Manuel Ocampo was sold in the The Marino Golinelli Collection auction at Phillips in London in October 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,031.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Manuel Ocampo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Los Comicos Ambulantes in December last year with an auction result of USD 32,760.00 (€ 30,622.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Absolute Other of the In-Place Paradigm of Practice von Manuel Ocampo wurde im Oktober 2007 in der Auktion The Marino Golinelli Collection bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.200,00 (€ 6.031,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manuel Ocampo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Los Comicos Ambulantes im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.760,00 (€ 30.622,55).
