Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Manuel Mendive could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin American Art Online auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,214.43) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manuel Mendive achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Energías para el amor y la bondad in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 111,249.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Manuel Mendive konnte im Juli 2021 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin American Art Online wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.214,43) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manuel Mendive erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Energías para el amor y la bondad im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 111.249,56).
