Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2006 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist and Spanish Art, which included the work The Steam Train by Manuel García y Rodríguez. The price achieved of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,418.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Manuel García y Rodríguez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work El Patio De La Villa (The Villa Garden) in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 60,500.00 (€ 84,715.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist and Spanish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Steam Train von Manuel García y Rodríguez zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.418,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manuel García y Rodríguez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit El Patio De La Villa (The Villa Garden) im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.500,00 (€ 84.715,65).
